Danny Lemons, former Pastor of Discipleship Ministries at Messiah UM Church

(My position on Messiah’s staff ended on January 1st. I am in the process of updating this site and working out my specific areas of ministry as just another member of the Messiah community.)

Some of the areas I work with are Small Groups, a Prayer Team Ministry and  Communications technology.

This site is intended as a resource, not only, for the Messiah community but anyone seeking to be a devoted follower of Jesus or interested in knowing more.

Messiah is located in Shippensburg, PA,  home of Shippensburg University.  Steve Livermore is Senior or Lead Pastor and Fran Norton is Pastor of Caring Ministries.

It is a mid-size, down-town congregation.  Sunday morning worship (9:00 am)along with Scripture based classes for all ages of children and various adult formats and topics are provided. Small groups, prayer chains, prayer teams, caring ministries—such as Parent’s night out, a community meal twice a month, soup for shut-ins and sick are just some of the other ways, our faith community follows Jesus.

In the recent years Messiah has sent mission teams to Mississippi, Delaware, Kentucky Alabama and West Virginia.
